The Jerome Indie Film and Music Festival had an astounding premiere on the edge of the world in mid June. Friday night’s film from Paul Davis, Cathedral Canyon was a compelling investigation into the underworld of religious persecution of women in a rural polygamist community. And ironically, it takes a gangster-hero (Winsor Harmon) to realize how messed up this world is. Hundreds of people enjoyed the band before the film, the great mountain views and a damn fine movie. Bravo!

Audience Choice Award for Best Feature Film: CATHEDRAL CANYON Written and Directed by Paul Davis and starring Winsor Harmon, Noelle Wheeler. A story set in both sprawling modern Phoenix and the fringe, rural polygamist communities of Northern Arizona, this film presents a hidden connection between these two very different worlds that permits the shocking acts of these cults to continue.
